Slingsby’s Board of Directors and Artistic Director Andy Packer are thrilled to announce the appointment of Stacey Baldwin in the new full-time role of General Manager/Producer.
Stacey brings more than a decade of diverse arts management experience, vibrant enthusiasm and a passion for establishing efficient organisational systems.
Born and raised in regional Victoria, Stacey has worked with leading Australian arts organisations including Back to Back Theatre, Melbourne Festival, Insite Arts, Big West Festival and Jodee Mundy Collaborations.
At Insite Arts Stacey supported pioneering independent artists including Antony Hamilton, Stephanie Lake, and Tamara Saulwick and was Program & Operations Manager for MONA FOMA 2016.
Stacey brings international touring knowledge to Slingsby through her work producing Back to Back Theatre’s touring to Germany (Food Court), Korea (small metal objects) and Basel, Zurich and Leuven (The Democratic Set). As Associate Producer at Performing Lines, she worked on Meryl Tankard’s tour of The Oracle to the Netherlands and Switzerland and CIRCA’s regional Australian tour as part of the Road Work Program.
In 2011 Stacey was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She speaks openly about her acquired disability in the hope of encouraging other arts managers to embrace their point of difference as a strength, not a weakness.
Stacey begins work with Slingsby on Monday 27 February, attending the ShowBroker National Touring Market in Adelaide and will relocate with her family in April to commence full time with the company.
Stacey’s appointment marks the first full-time administrative and producing role for Slingsby since the company was founded in 2007.
